Q; Do I have to hike as a team or can I hike alone? A: Whatever you prefer. Hiking alone can be wonderful...or even doing it with a friend can be great. However, some prefer to hike with more! Hikers will be released in groups of four at the trailhead. You can stay together or spread out.
Q: How much hiking should I do before I go? A: This is totally up to you and how you gage your own skill set. It is an uphill climb and it can be strenuous. Look over the information about the hike itself and then decide what you will need to do to work up to the level where you are ready to try.
Q: What if I run out of time? A: There's a very good chance you won't, but if you feel it's a concern, keep an eye on your watch. We consider running out of time as not getting in before dusk, because then we become very concerned. We would prefer for everyone to be back by 3PM, but understand if that is not a possibility. We will have our ending festivities at 3:00PM. For those that come in early or are not in by this time, you won't miss out on prizes. You won't need to be present to win, be we hope we can have as many people there at 3:00PM for festivities!
Q: Can I bring my dog? A: Dogs are allowed, on leash, at all times.. Be sure to pick up after your pet and be respectful of other hikers.
Q: What parking or park pass do I need? A: The NW Forest Pass. However, if no one in your group has one, a day pass will be provided. Please indicate how many you will need on the Hiker Registration Page.
Q: Are children allowed? A: Yes, and we hope that children ages 12 and older, sign up as registered hikers.
Q: What if I have other questions that you just aren't answering here for me? A: Go to the Contact Us page and send us a message or just shoot us an email!
